Why Join the Youth Council?
The Peterborough Youth Council is a fantastic opportunity for young people to engage with local government, influence decisions that affect youth in the area, and develop leadership skills. As a member of the PYC, you will:
- Participate in important discussions about youth issues
- Collaborate with local leaders and other youth councils
- Gain experience in public speaking, project management, and teamwork
- Be a voice for your peers and make real change happen
Application Process
Interested in joining? Here’s a general timeline for the application and induction process:
- Application Deadline: Midnight on Sunday 26 May
- Phone Call Interviews: Tuesday 28 May (with existing Youth Council members)
- Outcome Notification: By mid-June
- Induction Day: Saturday 13 July
